Fernando Aramburu
San Sebastián, 1959

Fernando Aramburu was born in San Sebastián in 1959 and has a degree in Spanish Literature. He has published the novels Fuegos con limón (1996), winner of the Premio Ramón Gómez de la Serna; El trompetista del Utopía (2003), which was made into a film; Años lentos (2012), which won the Premio Tusquets de Novela, and La gran Marivián (2013). His short fiction includes No ser no duele (1997); Los peces de la amargura (2006), which won the Premio Mario Vargas Llosa NH, and El vigilante del fiordo (2011). He has lived in Germany since 1985.
